Rumble Rhino Megaways™ is Pariplay’s first Megaways™ release since acquiring a licence from Big Time Gaming to use their mechanic, which in turn has provided 86,436 ways to win for this title. Check out whether you’re up for a trip to the savannah with our full review!
Although Pariplay is a very recent newcomer to the Megaways™ family of providers, the company now ranks as one of the best developers around, who are now working towards adding some great Megaways™ games to their list! Let’s check out how Pariplay has fared on its first try.

Many Megaways™ developers attempt to make a splash upon their initial landing on the scene. Pariplay doesn’t quite see things the same way, however, and unfortunately has decided to play it safe with this release.
Rumble Rhino Megaways™ has an African Savannah theme, which we’ve honestly seen quite a number of times before. That said, it does seem to be popular with many, hence why Pariplay probably thought this particular backdrop was worth settling for.
In terms of gameplay, you can expect a pretty standard affair. Unfortunately, the Megaways™ standard 117,649 ways to win have been reduced. Rumble Rhino Megaways™ has 86,436 ways to win. Realistically, though, you won’t notice the difference. This is because it’s rare for Megaways™ to go up to the multiple tens of thousands, regardless of the max ways-to-win number.
The implementation of the savannah theme comes down to the design of the icons, the polish on the animations and the effort put into the background scenery. Overall, we’d say things are alright with this game. There’s nothing that’s a particular standout, but things are generally well-designed, fitting the theme nicely.
Like most Megaways™ games, Pariplay have decided to go with card royals for the lower-paying symbols. You’ll find the Jack, Queen, King and Ace represented in a tribal-looking font.
The higher-paying symbols are different animals you’ll find on the African savannah. You’ll find the meerkat, crane, antelope, zebra, cheetah, and gorilla, the latter of which are the highest-paying of the bunch.
“But where’s the rhino?” – is what you might be asking yourself right about now. Well, the rhino is the wild symbol for Rumble Rhino Megaways™. It will substitute for all the regular symbols of the game, helping you make more winning combinations! Apart from the wild symbol, you’ll also find the diamond scatter symbol.
Finally, there’s also a Mystery Mask symbol which will occasionally land on the reels. )No, we’re not talking about the Jim Carrey comedy here). We’ll go through the exact function later on in the features section. For now, just keep an eye out for a symbol that looks like a tiki mask!
Unfortunately, this savannah’s oases have run a little dry on features – even some of the mainstay Megaways™ classic features are missing. The ones included are actually pretty interesting, however! Let’s take a closer look below.
Interestingly, Rumble Rhino Megaways™ employs a bit of a strange reel arrangement, which explains why the edges of the reels aren’t designed in a straight manner. The outer two reels can show a maximum of 6 symbols. On the other hand, the inner four reels can show the usual 7.
This contributes to the 86,436 ways to win on Rhino Rumble Megaways™. We’ve mentioned that this isn’t anything to particularly worry about. It’s a little unfortunate for Pariplay to be breaking the Megaways™ tradition though, and not by increasing the ways to win.
Unfortunately, classic Megaways™ feature hasn’t found its way to Rumble Rhino Megaways™. This is quite a let-down, as cascading reels are universally loved by slots fans. They don’t really keep any other feature from being implemented either. We’re genuinely puzzled as to why Pariplay wouldn’t include it.
The feature would’ve seen winning combinations removed from the reels, making way for more potential wins through the symbols falling from above. It’s sometimes known by other names too, including Rolling Reels, Cascades, or Falling Symbols.
One of the interesting additions to this game’s feature repertoire are mega symbols. As the name suggests, these symbols are huge versions of the usual symbols found on your reels, spanning multiple reels. They’ll appear on the middle 4 reels, covering a maximum of a 4×7 grid.
In terms of payouts, these symbols act like one giant combination of the symbol they’re representing. The calculation depends on the number of reel positions covered by the mega symbol. You can imagine that with that huge 4×7 mega symbol, the winnings can be quite generous!
The Mystery Mask symbols are an interesting addition and a great fit, considering the game’s theme. Occasionally, these symbols will land on your reels, and then reveal themselves as one of the regular symbol, helping to form winning combinations! In all honesty, they somewhat work like a wild symbol.
The free spins section for this game feels like it’s lacking a little bit of inspiration too. Don’t get us wrong, we love that there are free spins – it’s just that these usually come with additional bonus features.
You can access the free spins section by landing a diamond scatter symbol on both reel 1 and reel 6. The free spins section itself is the exact same as the main game, with the only difference being that the 12 awarded spins are free.
Moving on from the features section, we’ve come to the section concerning all those numbers and figures! Apart from low-balling us with the number of ways to win, Rumble Rhino Megaways™ plays much like any other Megaways™ title when it comes to the specs.
The Rumble Rhino Megaways™ RTP is set slightly higher than average at 96.16%. While this isn’t a rhino-sized boost over the average by any means, it is a nice bit extra! We’re glad that Pariplay has decided to throw us a bone here, even if it’s a small one.
It might be worth keeping in mind that Pariplay sometimes provides alternative versions of their games to casinos. These will have altered RTP percentages, so it’s good to check before placing down any bets!
Once again choosing to not break the mould, Rumble Rhino Megaways™ has a high volatility rating. What this means for players is that they are likely to encounter dry spells, or a number of spins without significant wins. On the bright side, high volatility also means that past those dry spells, wins can become quite impressive in size.
Keep in mind that the low-paying symbols for this game are truly low-paying. Wins with these symbols are often actually losses disguised as wins, which is unfortunate. While this isn’t uncommon for high-volatility titles, it’s good to be prepared with a well-padded bankroll. This’ll help you tough it out if you spin a few duds!
In this section, we’d consider not breaking the mould to be a good thing. Megaways™ providers have become known for their high standard of quality. This ends up translating to excellent device compatibility, meaning that players can play their favourite Megaways™ games whenever, wherever.
Rumble Rhino Megaways™ is no different in this respect. You’ll find that Pariplay’s developers have thought of your device. Whether you’re on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop, you can play Rumble Rhino Megaways™ without any issues!
Rumble Rhino Megaways™ is a simple and easy game to get used to, regardless of whether you know exactly how Megaways™ games work or not. The aim of the game is to land 3 or more of the same symbol on adjacent reels, starting from reel one.
Of course, the more bonus or special symbols you land, the more wins can be made! The free spins section can prove to be particularly profitable, as it allows you to multiple spins risk-free.
The controls are similarly easy too. You’ll find everything conveniently clustered around the spin button, placed centre-right of the main reels. To the left and right of the button are bet selection arrows, with more fine control available below the button. On the bottom left of the game screen, you’ll find a three-dot menu that’ll take you to the paytable and the additional info section.
Before we conclude this review, we thought we’d give you a quick and easy summary of our thoughts below.
And with that, we’ve reached the end of our review! Our final thoughts on Rumble Rhino Megaways™ are that it’s a good slot for those looking for a simplified Megaways™ experience. The theme is unobtrusive and the RTP is above average, which might just be what some of you are looking for!
